1. Schedules are posted on www.quickscores.com/dysa. It is imperative that coaches and parents check the schedule at least once a week.

2. Schedules are updated Friday evenings. If there is an urgent change, it may be updated on other days as well.

3. Please review the “Procedures for Scheduling Fields”, which follows.

4. All practices and games MUST be shown on the either the practice or game schedule located there. If you are not on the schedule, Parks and Rec may ask you to leave.

5. Please refer to the “Procedures for Scheduling Fields” for more details.

1. Only games that will be rescheduled are those games postponed by the DYSA Board for weather or for significant school events (where attendance at the game would have less than the number of players to be fielded. Please refer to the “Procedures for Scheduling Fields” for details on rescheduling.

2. Saturday games may be delayed up to 2 hours if fields are marginal.

3. Games that are “no-show” will NOT be rescheduled.

1. Games will be played even when raining with the following exceptions:

a. At the first sign of lightening and/or thunder, games will be halted, and players sent to safe locations. There will be a 15- minute waiting period, after the last instance of thunder or lightening, to see if the storm passes before the Board makes a final decision. The Board may decide to wait another 15 minutes, delay the game, postpone the game, or cancel the game. Do not leave the soccer park unless informed by a referee or Board member that games are cancelled.

b. At the referee’s discretion, play may be suspended or terminated for heavier rains.

c. Games may be terminated early if fields are holding water or are extremely wet, such that play on the fields could damage the fields or present a safety concern.

d. If less than half of the game has been played when terminated, it will be rescheduled.

2.  It is the coach’s (or other designated person’s) responsibility to check the DYSA hotline at 256-274-1474 no more than 1 ½ hours before game time for weather updates.

3. The Board will update the hotline first. If possible, the website www.quickscores.com/dysa will also be updated.

4. When there are severe weather warnings in effect, practices shall be cancelled. At those times, please call for game status, as games may be affected by the warning as well.
